aight, peeps, how bout a real post 4 once? i guess it's time for 1.. especially since the ol' "2 busy w/school stuff" excuse wont fly this time.. so ok, here it is.

whew... college... how 2 describe it... the words "stress", "booze", and "sex" (dont worry, not me.., but just about everybody else, it seems) come 2 mind.. along w/alotta other 1s.. but i think i can sum it all up w/one word: overrated. wait. lets make that 1 phrase: wayyyy overrated.
sure, u get all this freedom. but trust me (i guess we'v established that im tlkin 2 all u prospective college freshmen here), that gets old. sure, u get 2 go out every other night and drink and have fun. but trust me, that gets old. and it becomes hard 2 do when classes, which come with hours and hours of reading and raping exams (the truly raping ones tend to come in the form of calculus tests - just a warning to all you engineers...), start gettin in the way. and that'll happen b4 u no it.. (it happened around the end of the 2nd week 4 me..).
sure, u get 2 meet a lot of interesting new ppl. but thats just the thing. you meet a LOT of new ppl, and it becomes hard 2 find a close group of friends to hang out with. it took me a good 2-3 months 2 finally find mine. and im sure it'll change next yr, when we hav 2 switch dorms and hav 2 go out and meet a lot of interesting new ppl 2 hang out with all over again...
now im not slammin the ppl at my skool. they tite. and im havin a blast w/alot of them. but im just sayin; it's hard 2 get as close to ppl on a college campus as u r 2 ur high school friends. (keep in touch w/them, btw.. when ur feelin the pressure of havin 2 go out and meet new ppl, it helps 2 no that u hav friends waitin 4 u back home).
most importantly, wut makes college so dam overrated are the classes. holy shit, they're hard... and holy shit, there's so much work. ask any 1 from my unit, and he'll tell u i'm 1 of the slackers of our dorm. and i spend at least 5 times more time on work now than i did in high school, where i wasnt considered a slacker at all (ok, that may b a little bit of a lie, but still.. u get my point..)... so if u want an idea of how much u'll b workin next yr, just multiply however much time u spend doin work now by 5, and u'll hav a pretty accurate approximation. and i am totally not exaggerating here. not. one. bit.
work = evil. and since college = lots of work, college = super evil.
there ya go. there's mathematical proof that college is, in fact, pure evil 4 all u future engineers (i guess we'v by now narrowed down my audience 2 future engineering majors.. which makes sense, since i'm 1 myself).
mk, 2 sum up: college = evil and overrated, as is proven above both mathematically and verbally.
dam, this entry was long. that just goes 2 show how much i care about showin u that college is overrated. so take this shit 2 heart, ppl.
btw, dont think i hate college. im def havin more fun than i was in high school. all im sayin is that college is way overrated. i say this cuz i no exactly how alotta u r feelin rite now. ur gettin all antsy and tellin everybody (including ur parents) everyday how u cant wait 2 get outta the house, leave high school behind, and go 2 college. dont. enjoy senior yr. enjoy the lack of stress that u'll come 2 miss when ur 1st round of college exams comes along in roughly half a yr. and, most importantly, dont expect 2 much of college. it really isnt all it's made out 2 b. sorry. it just had 2 b said.
